Job Position : Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and processes. This role involves implementing quality assurance procedures, conducting inspections and tests, managing Non-Conformance Action Requests (NCAR), and leading 8D problem-solving initiatives. Quality Engineer – Ensuring Excellence in Packaging Standards

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests of products, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Identify, document, and resolve quality issues and discrepancies.

 

2. NCAR Management:

  • Oversee the Non-Conformance Action Request (NCAR) process, including the documentation, evaluation, and resolution of non-conformance issues.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely and effective corrective actions are taken.
  • Monitor and report on the status of NCARs to ensure resolution and closure.

 

3. 8D Problem-Solving:

  • Lead and facilitate 8D (Eight Disciplines) problem-solving processes to address complex quality issues.
  • Ensure that all eight disciplines are thoroughly executed, from problem identification to implementation of corrective actions and verification of effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robust solutions to prevent recurrence of issues.

 

4. Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze quality metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and other teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.

 

5. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including inspection reports, audit findings, NCAR records, and 8D reports.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

1. Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. (Master’s degree or certifications such as Six Sigma, ASQ, or equivalent are a plus.)

 

2. Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in quality engineering or a related field, with a strong background in manufacturing industries.

 

3. Skills:

  • Proficient in quality management systems and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis).
  • Experience with NCAR management and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high standards of quality.

 

4. Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools for quality testing and data analysis.
